Secure File Transfer (SFT) | SFT System Requirements | SFT User Manual 
CareFirst's Secure File Transfer tool allows registered users to upload/download Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) files and non-EDI files via a Secure File Transfer Web site (SFT). Subscribers/members can be enrolled in Maryland, National Capital, and Delaware plans, including National Account (NASCO) members.
This service is available to current as well as new qualifying Employer Groups, Third Party Enrollers (TPE), Third Party Administrators (TPA), Group Administrators (GA), and Delegate Billing Entity (DBE). There are no fees to use this Web site; however there are minimum system requirements.
Getting Started
Enrolling with CareFirst to use the SFT tool is fast and easy. It only takes a few minutes, and then you’ll be on your way to an easy and safe method to enroll members. Once you enroll, log-in and password information will be e-mailed to you.
