Provider Search
Once you become a member of MHIP you have the ability to choose from a wide selection of primary care and specialist providers. Our MHIP plan administrator, CareFirst, offers two of the largest provider networks in the region. To find a primary care doctor, medical or mental health specialist or facility, please use the online directories available in the Find A Provider section of www.carefirst.com. First select a plan that you think you will be joining, see the list below:
- MHIP HMO Plans – Select the BlueChoice HMO network
- All MHIP PPO plans – Select the BluePreferred network
If you are interested in HealthyBlue, you can search the BlueChoice HMO network to find in-network level providers, or you can search the BluePreferred PPO network to find out-of-network level providers.
After selecting your plan, enter the requested data to get a listing of providers who participate in your plan. You can also print a personalized directory based on your search by selecting the print option on your search results page.
