Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Decision

We are pleased with the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, allowing the MHIP Federal program to continue to provide hope and relief to thousands of people in Maryland who cannot obtain health insurance because of a pre-existing medical condition.

Because of this decision, you can feel reassured that MHIP Federal will continue to provide you with the coverage and care you need. Additionally, the decision reaffirms the principle that even when you are at your sickest, you deserve to have health care coverage.

We will continue to expand the MHIP Federal program and work with our existing and new members as we gather momentum towards the transition to the Health Exchange in 2014.
